Conference Venue

The TIES conference will take place at the Department of Statistics "Paolo Fortunati" of the University of Bologna.

The Department of Statistics is located in Via Belle Arti 41 (see the map).

Arriving on Foot from the City Center
Find your way to the base of the two leaning towers (due torri). One of the radial roads that starts at that point is Via Zamboni along which most of the University administrative buildings and Departments are located. Walk down Via Zamboni away from the towers. Walk past Piazza Verdi where the Opera is located on your left. Continue until you arrive to the number 33 of Via Zamboni. The square on your left is called Piazza Scaravilli. Cross Piazza Scaravilli, walk along Via XX ottobre 1944 and you arrive in Via Belle Arti. The Department of Statistics is on the right just as you arrive in Via Belle Arti.

Getting from the Railway Station to the Department
As you leave the Railway Station from the main exit, cross the small piazza and the ring road (Viali) to the other side. Almost straight ahead is ``Ristorante Risbo,'' in front of which you will find stops for busses 36, and 37 that all go to the University. The direction of travel with respect to the Station exit is towards the left. The trip only takes 5 to 10 minutes. Ask the driver or someone for "Fermata Porta San Donato" in Via Irnerio.
